Part of the pleasure of Mulberry Street for me is traveling the South searching for pieces of vintage furniture to offer you. This 3-piece set was found in three different places…the ottoman first in Mt. Pleasant, NC, then the chair in Chattanooga, TN, and finally the table in Pinehurst, NC. I distinctly remember spotting the chair and table and realizing that I could put them together with the ottoman as they were intended…separated at birth, soon to be a family.
I’ve always hated breaking a set of anything, so it is my distinct pleasure to be able to put sets back together! This is not the end of the story. These 3 vintage pieces have been re-coated in Colonial White and, as we speak, custom cushions are being made for the chair and ottoman. So in the coming days, I’ll be able to share a set of vintage furniture that, to look at it, you would think it had always been together. Not so. But you’ll see what I mean when I show you the final product. You’ll be the first to see it.
Separated at Birth…
